POS and scheduler that sync at check-in

During the 8 a.m. rush, I’m bouncing between Acuity and a Square Stand to check in guests by name and take payment, which slows down greetings at the desk. What combo pulls the appointment into the POS so I can greet by name (Good morning, Maria) and finish the charge on the same screen?

“finish the charge on the same screen” — I got that by ditching Acuity and running Square Appointments inside Square POS on the same iPad; the day’s calendar lives in POS, tap the name and hit Charge without jumping apps. Small caveat: it required the paid Appointments plan — are you open to switching?

Piggybacking on @victoria2235, if you’re willing to switch, Vagaro + Pay Desk pulls the day’s appointments right into the POS — tap the 8 a.m. booking, it shows the name so you can say “Good morning, Maria” and charge on the same screen — caveat: you’d leave Acuity and buy the Pay Desk, but the check-in-to-pay flow is way faster. Are you open to switching or do you need to stay on Square hardware?

Acuity won’t push bookings into Square, so for that “8 a.m… rush” you need an all‑in‑one. I moved to Fresha — the day’s calendar lives in their POS, so I open the booking, greet by name, and run the payment in one flow. Caveat: migrating took a weekend, and if you must keep Acuity, set prepay or saved cards so you can quick‑charge in Square without bouncing apps.

I bailed on the Acuity + Square juggle — , that 8 a.m. shuffle was brutal — and moved to GlossGenius. From the POS you open the 8:00 booking, it preloads the client/services so you can say “Good morning, Maria” and run the payment right there; Tap to Pay on iPhone has been clutch. It’s pricier than Acuity, but the speed’s worth it for me — are you open to switching? https://glossgenius.com/features/pos.
