Struggles with Self-Checkout Support

I’ve been noticing a lot of customers getting confused at the self-checkout lately, especially with the new machines we have. Yesterday, someone couldn’t figure out how to start the transaction after scanning the first item. I think we need better signage or staff training on how to troubleshoot these issues on the spot. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

I get what you mean about the confusion — had a customer recently struggle with the start too. Something that helped us was adding a quick visual guide on the machines showing the steps. Do you think that would make a difference?

I’ve noticed the same issues at self-checkout, especially with starting transactions. One thing that’s helped is showing customers how to navigate the process while they’re scanning items. It might be a good idea to train staff to step in more proactively or even get some signs nearby explaining the basics.
