Tips for Boosting Sales in a Slow Shift

I’ve noticed that during slower shifts, it can be tough to hit those sales targets. One technique I’ve found helpful is engaging customers with specific product knowledge. For example, when I highlight the benefits of our best-selling items, I’ve seen a noticeable increase in sales. What strategies do others use to keep sales up during quiet times?

Engaging customers seems key, but I’ve found that a fun promo like ‘Buy One, Get One Half Off’ can really spice things up too. Maybe throw in a themed day, like ‘Tasty Tuesday’? What do you think?

I’ve been thinking about how you mentioned product knowledge, and I totally agree, but it can drive me nuts when customers just want to browse. Sometimes, I drop in a quick story about how our best-seller helped another customer — makes it feel more personal. Have you tried doing that on your shifts too, @williams71?
