When returns turn into stand-up routines

I had a customer come in yesterday, determined to return a blender because it didn’t turn her grapes into wine. After explaining that it’s just a blender, she looked at me deadpan and said, ‘So you’re telling me my grapes are the problem?’ It’s definitely a little slice of humor in the chaos of retail! Anyone else have stories where a simple return turned into a laughter-filled moment?

I totally get that! I had a woman return a frying pan because it didn’t ‘make her breakfast’ on its own. I couldn’t help but laugh and told her I’d take a lesson if her frying pan could do that.

That’s hilarious! I once had a lady return a vacuum cleaner because it didn’t clean her house by itself. I told her, maybe it just needed a little more motivation! @layla_san42, have you had any appliances with high expectations?
